Good job, team.  Your comments on teh death penalty stuff went even further than I imagined.  I was really just wanting to discuss whether the death should be painless or not.  I guess we needed to get some groundwork laid before that, though.  I think Paul tells us that the government is given the sword by God for a reason.

On another note, TOMORROW!!  We go on a 5AM to have labor indiced.  I say we.  And that's not entirely accurate.  Laura will be the one in labor.  Yea God!  He sure knows what He is doing.

Al Mohler just described Scientology's dualism as "like Plato on speed."

Too Much Pain?

I was watching some TV and came across some interesting news on Nightline.  Evidently there is a lawsuit in FL which claims folks being executed via lethal injection are feeling too much pain.  The papers state that there is not enough Pentathol being injected first, and therefore the two other injections bring first conscious suffocation, then an intense burning before death.  They are asking for executions to be delayed until this can be resolved and the ones being executed feel no pain at all.

Am I the only one that thought this was strange?  Do we demand effective levels of Pentathol for the victims of the violent crimes these prisoners are being executed for?  Should we make it priority to remove all pain for the death penalty?  What is the real agenda here?

Holy Week

My prayer is that I will remain focused on what is important this week.  We have a great deal of programming and services this week and it would be easy to be distracted by them.  My prayer is that these things will be simply an addition to the already intense focus and worship that is taking place in my life privately.

I am especially excited about the Good Friday service at New Hope.
